The depopulation of large areas of the territory is a problem common to many regions of the European Union, in fact, this is one of the main challenges that the European Union must address in its Europe 2030 agenda.
The lack of job opportunities becomes an obstacle to rural development. In this framework, vocational education and training (VET) systems can play a crucial role in addressing this situation.
The RedEra + project “Revitalization and entrepreneurship for deprived European rural areas” aims at improving access and effectiveness of vocational training in depopulated rural areas, ensuring equal opportunities for the residents of these areas compared to urban dwellers. It aims at strengthening inclusion, ensuring economic sufficiency (economic sustainability) as well as social and environmental sustainability by contributing to connecting and binding of population in these areas.
